A live dance band, a silent auction and a catered dinner are among the highlights of this year's annual Richmond Valentine's Dance to be held from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Proceeds from the party will benefit Josh Newton, the town's UPS driver who sustained severe injuries in early December when his truck slid into the path of freight train near Roxbury.

Featured at this year's party will be the "Real Deal Band" and food catered by the Bridge Street Cafe.

Silent auction items include a Mad River Glen season's pass, a year's supply of ice cream from Ben and Jerry's Homemade Inc.., and merchandise from Seventh Generation, Gardener's Supply, John's Shoe Shop North and others.

Advance tickets ($25 for dinner, dessert and dancing; $15 for dancing and dessert) are on sale until Friday at the Bridge Street Cafe, Bridge Street Hair, On the Rise Bakery and the Richmond Corner Market. Call Cathy Aikman at 434-7775.
